Here is the drawing I did for my aunt’s wedding this week-end. =)
Inspired by a little girl I sketch on the beach, painted with gouache.

Another submission for another tumblr: "Héro-ine-s".Imagine if the heroes of our childhood (in comic books) were women?
I read a lot of (belgium-french) comic strip as a kid and that’s true I didn’t have that much of heroine to identify with. I think I can name less than 5 (in fact I think about only one at this moment) instead of so many heroes…
So I wanted to do a feminine version of Uncle Scrooge (Picsou in french) and during the researches for documentation I discovered that he got a sister named Matilda McDuck and she looked like exactly how I wanted !
And if it was her and not her brother who became rich ?

This is done with Photoshop and the text says:
"Marililc present"
"Super Picsou Géant" is the french title of the magazine with Uncle Scrooge comics and I put an "e" to get "géante" which is the feminine form of "giant" in french.
196 pages of comic strip
Matilda McDuck
Women’s American Dream
A duck made of gold (“cane” in french means “female duck” and looks like “canne” which means “walking stick”)
Hope you like it as I had fun to do it =)

Valeriane : Merci =3
